A one-paragraph letter, on Village Voice stationery, saying he can not recommend The Good Soldier Schweik in his column as he hasn't seen it, though he would like to and, despite not having seen it, goes on to say "It is the quintessential German story about the absurd worship of uniforms, and I think it should be shown for its sociological interest." Sarris was the longtime film critic for the Voice and was a key proponent of the auteur theory of filmmaking and film criticism. Folded in thirds for mailing; fine, with envelope.
