Our Plundered Planet
Boston, Little Brown, (1948). A prescient book (1948) by the President of the New York Zoological Society, warning of the effects of the increasing global depletion of natural resources: water, soil, forests, and biodiversity. Blurbs by Aldous and Julian Huxley, Eleanor Roosevelt, and others. Less common than it seems, as many "firsts" fail to state "first edition" on the copyright page. Penciled notes on front flyleaf and underlinings in text; a very good copy in a good, edge-chipped dust jacket rubbed along the folds. [#035998] $350

All books are first printings of first editions or first American editions unless otherwise noted.
